EMERALDS -"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M HERE?" - (2010)

Yesterday I spoke to Caribou Today I introduce the band in 2010 opened its concerti.Credo that all groups in the world would be like opening the Emeralds, for the simple fact that you stunned viewers making them better people from head aperta.Questo is the effect that makes the drone of the trio of Ohio. rugs space synth, guitar all'inifinito turns in loops, and sounds evangleici from "the war is over, we in the streets and create a better world. "The record is the best of 2010 according to the webzine Drowned in Sound .

49 MORPHINES - PARTIAL ECLIPSE (2009)

I thought existed only in the Korea kugak and k-pop or otherwise copiaticci of j-pop (sad in itself). Instead, I found that Korean can also copy something decent. The 49 Morphines (apart from the bad name that does so much metalcore '98) are screamo, and do as you would expect that screamo is played in Asia: à la envy (as of early 2000). So screamo well recorded and that leaves room to breathe and post-rock melody. Perhaps the influence is a bit 'too, sometimes and occasionally uses some of the remedies' too simple-minded, but the result itself is good. Well in Asia screamo cool not only do the Japanese .

BIRTHDAY PARTY - JUNKYARD (1982)

We are in the mood for celebration, since they are two years that we take care of the blog (without peraltro smessere riusciti, come recita il banner, a smuovere le vostre coscienze).

La pazienza e la calma sono le armi adatte to afford the trip to sine waves of current alternate.Basti think that the first track is 11:56 minutes of an agreement synth (I think) that grows to which are added slowly sounds cotillion.Per prizes and who knows what it means to waste time hereafter with the knobs and the music machines.

GIORGIO MORODER - BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (1978)

Miei cari meteoriti crazy, now place this treat for lovers of sci-fi series, the original soundtrack of the famous series "Battlestar Galactica " (not the remake!). Production "our" Giorgio Moroder, reflecting the fact that when it comes to bums on the cover, Italy has always been a terrible figure. No wonder that in 2005 Carlo Azeglio Ciampi has awarded Moroder charge Commander of the Republic. The music is very spatial, a stuffed protodisco oscillating synth, bass slapping and tupatupa: the soundtrack for the final play Ogame .

This time, the weird thing is that the main theme of the 7 "in question is an Italian girl disappeared in the 80s. Boh.

GANG OF FOUR - ENTERTAINMENT! (1979)

Without doubt one of the most influential albums in the history of (post) punk music in general, "Entertainment!" has trained hundreds of groups (the likes of Flea, Kurt Cobain and Michael Stipe have repeatedly cited as one of their favorite records). The trio, composed by Andy Gill, Jon King, Mark Heaney, formed in Leeds and has produced seven albums (the last of which came out a couple of weeks ago at the reunion). In addition to having in fact invented the punk-funk as in vogue today, the group is also distinguished by the high political content and texts to use to say the least innovative guitar, played with epileptic fury. In April, is scheduled to tour Europe, the eight will be in Rome to 'Alpheus. Not to be missed.

THE MUMMIES - NEVER BEEN CAUGHT (1992)

Chi ha un minimo di familiarità con il garage-punk conoscerà sicuramente i Mummies, Californian group from fear active since the late '80s. One of those groups who do not know any way to play (in a strictly technical sense of the word), can not really give off a charge recently. Gojeria addition to the total of their costumes (not the best I could do), the group is known in the environment for total rejection of the CD. In fact they only ever printed on vinyl (except for live-reunion of 2000, "Death by Unga Bunga") on the back and usually there is always a message "Fuck cds." Other goodies: the Pontiac Ambulance you see on the cover of the album is the same as that used for their tour around the U.S.. I truly believe that their live Split your ass, even in the literal sense: It is said that the Mummies are the top ten of the most rude of all time and that they used to overwhelm unrepeatable insults the audience at their concerts ..
"Never Been Caught" is their second album, in my opinion one of the coolest.

SANREMAGEDDON 2011: INDIGESTIONE

Last night he opened the Italian Song Festival 2011. Remembering our great commitment to describe the last year and determined to always be on the news as is our custom, I think it should tell you what analalimentare event of last night offered the Italian people dung.

THE CREW
After the copious buckets of wad year last, 2011 has resulted in Sanremo new eating habits among the presenters, who already bears witness to our banner, for the more distracted and less original to the table, pictures clarifying:
"hast caused , you and I the Great "

" What is for lunch?!? "

"lick your fingers!"

"there in spades, guys! In spades! "

SONGS
hearing from the plate, sempre di merda si tratta. A botti, otri, giare e damigiane.

La svolta stilistica del cantautore pugliese è evidenced by the cover of the individual in the competition, we propose a national preview

The return of Max Pezzali, of which we offer a step stolen leaving the Teatro Ariston

Tonight we are young. Cover, slippers, sofa, a nice tray of donuts and all the stools in front of the TV, we propina the beautiful, new, original Italian music.

FRANCO BATTIATO - FETUS (1972)

now we have the Festival of coprophagy is coming and here you are given the opportunity to serve one of the best Italian albums di sempre, ad opera del maestro Franco Battiato.

1.  Il testo della canzone "Fenomenologia" ends with the formulas x 1 = A * sin (ωt), x 2 = A * sin (ωt + γ) . This writing can be considered as the mathematical formulation of the whole theme of the album. The two mathematical expressions, in fact, if you represent the same graph, two sinusoids of equal amplitude but out of phase unit (gamma), which appears to be the two-dimensional representation of the propeller DNA (precisely the main theme of the album).

2. At the end of the song "Mechanical" feels intercorsero an extract of the conversations between the crew of Apollo 11 (Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin) and President Richard Milhous Nixon.

Media Sciences Solid Ink Review

AREA - "CAUTION RADIATION AREA" -(1974)

Sanremo begins tomorrow, and someone is not good: http://sanremochiuso.com/ . Sanremo is obviously not good music, but from the point of view of a candle is not even music. Oggi with new genres of music come to the summit after about seven or eight years, and abroad if a group offers good laugh now and trite instead ritrita.Il prog port as a symbol of the 1969-1971 (year over year younger ...) and all around the world were told in those days, and the voice of Italy was one of the most glorious and apprezzate.Non'm here to encourage everyone to regain good music and think about what you want to play (it would be another matter that the beautiful long to realize what you are playing and what you are recording and what is being proposed), but someone said about the press: "Now, thanks to Gutenberg even the idiots can write theirs. AUDIOPOST@ - MITOCHONDRION - PARASIGNOSIS (2011)

Audiopost @ Our box is on fire ... this is a review of we now affectionately LoMerz.

actually a review for this disc I had already written, but it was so lengthy that I wanted to use the space courtesy of the Deafness Spa so if you do not play too Luddite. But I try to pouring out the same leaving the link.

persist in wanting to frame a musical group in certain genres is something both useless and silly. I know that. Indeed, they are the first to say, but they are also the first to betray me. Yes, because with iTunes, under "gender", pantry tag to each group often (very often, actually) or multiple with a comma separating from each other and sometimes, not knowing appioppare a genre to some bands, I flee the roughness of seeking asylum in Last.fm, though not always really help. What can you do ... like any other art, the music is this too. At least for the maniacs. If you want to get an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat I speak, therefore I am forced to specify that Parasignosis is a mix between death and black metal that it should be, here and there, splash some grind.
The disc is solid, tight rhythms, mixing almost claustrophobic. Like every metalhead flatterer tend towards the supernatural (not necessarily in the positive sense of the word - and the triptych introductory "Pestilentiam Intus Vocamus, Voluntatem Absolvimus" may well documented), Latinos in the track titles to play defense, just to take a football terminology, preserving the tradition of the genre. This which raises a real and significant attention, though, is the attack: the usual intro / verse / chorus there we can forget that every piece is constantly evolving, overlapping riffs, the speed varies continuously from fast to slow to fast only on rare occasions carefully created, episodic arpeggios / carpet almost imperceptible swell time to even cross the threshold of 10 minutes.
open parenthesis. Over the past 15 years has hung the metal studs, leather pants and nail to the nail [ahaha, discounted as a joke that I could not make me miss!] To evolve and break through the gates of the redundancy array 80 in penetrating boundaries less and less detectable. If we think of bands like Neurosis , Pelican, Isis can now clearly see the difference that exists between this strange and multi-fringe of the existentialist and the drunken revelers à la Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (buargh!) , Motley Crue (BUARGHHH!!). All this was possible thanks to the first tool - which does not appreciate very much - and thanks to those who received input from these right then. From here the metal has got a sound deeper, more robust, something that, rather than let your ears bleed with their sharp, it shakes the earth under your feet with the waves low, the speed and ferocity to show virtuoso has weakened, leaving more room for experimentation and composition, the intellectual sophistication, though often obsessed by the apocalyptic visions dear to some kind of folk whose time ago I spoke, supplanted the harshness end in itself. Another exception worth the metal that has lived in symbiosis with the hardcore with the latter establishing a reciprocal exchange of skills starting from the 1983 Metallica, Slayer and finally passing rocked by Napalm Death (to be praised) . Closed in parentheses.
Over all, the pieces stand out Tetravirulence (pestilential third act of the trilogy) and nomen album, Parasignosis. Clearly, we are not dealing at a disco era, but a product of very good quality even from a technical point of view. Moreover, if a pig had been growling vocals just one more point, type 2 Minuta Dreka , I would have thrown away without any hesitation, but we are still part of decency. At this point we have to add one more thing: only Burzum and his followers play the role of irreducible defect of their nature, but only in extreme metal (not to speak of the experiments Amesoeurs or Nachtmystium ) is moving toward something less canonical directions. If we acknowledge this, then we should keep our ears ancora più tese e cominciare col non farsi scappare questa piccola perla.
Cthulhu save the metal!

AUDIOPOST@ - AGAINST ME - REINVENTING AXL ROSE (2002)

receive and republish the mail of our dear Andrea ...

The important thing is to get there. I do not know why in my long years of listening has never taken the time to Against Me! But there is still time to fix it. The band from Gainesville, Florida , is a lethal mix of punk-riot-someacoustic -Irish-folk-rock, which gives the disk in question is not just a variety, which combines perfectly with lyrics taste of rebellion, anger and celebration. Listening to this record, well, the need to break the windows of Starbucks, drinking Guinness in honor of the fallen, to sing along with the usual friends, hate the Guns'N'Roses will always be more latent. GREGORY AND THE HAWK - "MOENIE AND KITCHI" (2008)

Gregory And The Hawk is not a group, but the pseudonym behind which the New York multi-instrumentalist and composer Meredith Godreau adopted in order to detach off the label of singer / songwriter.
Quindi eccomi qua.
