AUDIOPOST@ - MITOCHONDRION - PARASIGNOSIS (2011)

Audiopost @ Our box is on fire ... this is a review of we now affectionately LoMerz.

actually a review for this disc I had already written, but it was so lengthy that I wanted to use the space courtesy of the Deafness Spa so if you do not play too Luddite. But I try to pouring out the same leaving the link.

persist in wanting to frame a musical group in certain genres is something both useless and silly. I know that. Indeed, they are the first to say, but they are also the first to betray me. Yes, because with iTunes, under "gender", pantry tag to each group often (very often, actually) or multiple with a comma separating from each other and sometimes, not knowing appioppare a genre to some bands, I flee the roughness of seeking asylum in Last.fm, though not always really help. What can you do ... like any other art, the music is this too. At least for the maniacs. If you want to get an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat I speak, therefore I am forced to specify that Parasignosis is a mix between death and black metal that it should be, here and there, splash some grind.
The disc is solid, tight rhythms, mixing almost claustrophobic. Like every metalhead flatterer tend towards the supernatural (not necessarily in the positive sense of the word - and the triptych introductory "Pestilentiam Intus Vocamus, Voluntatem Absolvimus" may well documented), Latinos in the track titles to play defense, just to take a football terminology, preserving the tradition of the genre. This which raises a real and significant attention, though, is the attack: the usual intro / verse / chorus there we can forget that every piece is constantly evolving, overlapping riffs, the speed varies continuously from fast to slow to fast only on rare occasions carefully created, episodic arpeggios / carpet almost imperceptible swell time to even cross the threshold of 10 minutes.
open parenthesis. Over the past 15 years has hung the metal studs, leather pants and nail to the nail [ahaha, discounted as a joke that I could not make me miss!] To evolve and break through the gates of the redundancy array 80 in penetrating boundaries less and less detectable. If we think of bands like Neurosis , Pelican, Isis can now clearly see the difference that exists between this strange and multi-fringe of the existentialist and the drunken revelers à la Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (buargh!) , Motley Crue (BUARGHHH!!). All this was possible thanks to the first tool - which does not appreciate very much - and thanks to those who received input from these right then. From here the metal has got a sound deeper, more robust, something that, rather than let your ears bleed with their sharp, it shakes the earth under your feet with the waves low, the speed and ferocity to show virtuoso has weakened, leaving more room for experimentation and composition, the intellectual sophistication, though often obsessed by the apocalyptic visions dear to some kind of folk whose time ago I spoke, supplanted the harshness end in itself. Another exception worth the metal that has lived in symbiosis with the hardcore with the latter establishing a reciprocal exchange of skills starting from the 1983 Metallica, Slayer and finally passing rocked by Napalm Death (to be praised) . Closed in parentheses.
Over all, the pieces stand out Tetravirulence (pestilential third act of the trilogy) and nomen album, Parasignosis. Clearly, we are not dealing at a disco era, but a product of very good quality even from a technical point of view. Moreover, if a pig had been growling vocals just one more point, type 2 Minuta Dreka , I would have thrown away without any hesitation, but we are still part of decency. At this point we have to add one more thing: only Burzum and his followers play the role of irreducible defect of their nature, but only in extreme metal (not to speak of the experiments Amesoeurs or Nachtmystium ) is moving toward something less canonical directions. If we acknowledge this, then we should keep our ears ancora più tese e cominciare col non farsi scappare questa piccola perla.
Cthulhu save the metal!
